  KWizCom WSS Cross Site Search is part of the WSS Productivity Bundle

Cross-site, advanced property-based search for Windows SharePoint Services.

KWizCom WSS Cross Site Search (WCSS) provides WSS users that do not have MOSS – Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, with text and advanced property-based, cross site search capabilities.

WCSS also supports text highlighting in search results and inside documents, and custom search scopes.

WCSS supports both WSS 2.0 and WSS 3.0.

WCSS includes two modules that users interact with:

WCSS Simple Search box:

WCSS search box displays the search interface very similar to the default WSS search box, only it enables the user to define the search scopes rather than search only in the current browsed site – as the WSS' original search control ability.

WCSS Advanced Search Page

This page displays an advanced property-search interface as well as the search results. The search results page has the look and feel of the standard WSS search results page with just a few differences:

1. Documents results are returned only as documents even if the search phrase was found in the meta data (Where in WSS they are displayed as lists in the search results page)
2. Each item has a locator under it that displays the location of the item (list name at parent site > site)
3. Each document result has a link that opens the document’s meta data view (list item)
