What is included in this edition?

Field Constraints

Validate your SharePoint forms & ensure the user's input makes sense!

The Field Constraints allows SharePoint customers to easily configure field validation rules to enforce input patterns according to your required form logic: email, field length, ID, value ranges and any other custom pattern using regular expressions! Enhance your SharePoint Online list forms with robust field validations!

You can quickly configure dynamic validation rules using a simple and intuitive settings page. No complex formulas!

How can field constrain help you?

There are column types that SharePoint does not validate. These include Lookup and Person column types.

With the Field Constraints feature, you can validate any field type.

You can compare your field value to fixed values/ranges or values of other fields in your form.

For example: in the following screenshot, we’ve configured a validation rule that checks that a task is not assigned to the current user (using the [Me] token).

Need to validate custom patterns such as email, social security number or credit card number? Not a problem!

You can validate any custom pattern using regular expressions and save your new custom validation rule in an S.C repository to be used by other site owners.

SharePoint enables you to configure Static constraints, such as ensuring a mandatory field is not empty.

However, in simple web forms, your validation rules often need to change depending on the current item’s context. For example, you might need to make sure a specific field is not empty, depending on the value of another field. These types of rules are Dynamic validation rules which add sense to your forms.

Column Permissions

Dynamically show/hide/deactivate fields to create innovative SharePoint forms!

Control the visibility of specific list form fields in the New, Edit and View item forms. This app also allows you to hide views from the list views &  to hide or disable columns in the Quick Edit view. Dynamically hiding or disabling fields is done by setting up logic rules.

This way, you can turn your SharePoint list forms into dynamic, intelligent forms that display only the relevant fields according to the current user and context.

How can Column Permissions help you?

Easily configure rules that dynamically show, hide and disable fields according to the current user and various field values.

In the same way, you can configure rules that hide selected columns from list views, depending on various conditions.

Yes, even in the “Quick Edit” view, you can dynamically hide or disable selected columns so that users won’t update that field during bulk editing.

Default Values

Enhance your SharePoint list forms with dynamic default values!

Add Dynamic default values to your SharePoint list forms! Configure default values for all column types!

There are column types for which SharePoint Online out-of-the-box doesn’t allow you to configure default values. Examples of such column types are Person and Lookup fields.

With the Form Default Values Feature, you can now easily configure default values for these non-supported columns, like any other SharePoint column.

How can default value help you?

Is there a single SharePoint user who didn’t face the unpleasant experience of manually uploading a document and copying its name to the Title field?

With the Form Default Values feature, you can easily configure default values based on values of other columns and use dynamic tokens such as [Me] and [Today].

Depending on your form’s logic, you need different users to fill out the same form to have different default values in some form fields.

For example, when an end-user fills out a new Support Ticket form, the “Reported By” field should have the value of the current user by default. However, when a Helpdesk engineer fills out the same form, he probably does it on behalf of some end-user, so he would require this field to be empty by default.

With the Form Default Values feature, you can define Dynamic default values, which are different for different users.

Custom Layout

Turn your SharePoint Online forms into great-looking, multi-tab forms in just a few minutes!

Ever tried to fill out a SharePoint list form with 20 columns? You end up with an endless SharePoint form with a large pile of fields, lacking any logical grouping/categorization. No More!

How can Custom Layout help you?

With the Forms Custom Layout App, end-users can quickly create great-looking, multi-tab forms in just a few minutes! No need to learn & deploy any new form technologies and tools or to become a form design expert using complicated proprietary tools.

Quickly add tabs, collapsible regions & custom themes and turn your SharePoint list forms into dynamic, great-looking forms with SharePoint Field Groups!/
